Starting at 28th of July 2020 until 08th of August 2020
We are looking forward to the U21 Football European Championship of Deaf Youth Sports from July 28 to August 08, 2020! Our organizing team is working at full speed to make this event unforgettable. Over 12 teams of all nationalities come together to kick and celebrate.
Sport connects people of all ages, sex, origin and disability. We, the German Deaf Sports Youth bring together people from all over Europe to compete in football!
The “German Deaf Sports Youth” has been founded as an approved Youth Organization by the head organization of the German sports youth in 1979. The aim is to bring together sports enthusiasts from all over Europe through tournaments and championships. Thus, we celebrate this U21 Football European Championship, where the youth compete in football.
Baunatal is colorful, diverse and open, which was also evident at this year’s New Year’s reception, which was themed “Inclusion and Sport”. Bringing people with and without disabilities together is the goal that has been lived in Baunatal for many years. I am therefore delighted that in 2020 the organizers chose Baunatal as the venue for the U 21 European Football Championships of the German Deaf Sports Youth. I wish all active participants every success. I wish all guests a nice time in our city and I wish all spectators a lot of fun and exciting football games.
VENUE
We are hosting the tournament in the town of Baunatal!
Baunatal (named after the Fulda tributary Bauna) is a central city in the northern Hessian district of Kassel. It was created on 1 January 1964 by the merger of the formerly independent communities Altenbauna, Altenritte, Großenritte and Kirchbauna in the wake of the settlement of a plant of Volkswagen AG in 1957 in Altenbauna. Later, the villages Hertingshausen, Rengershausen and Guntershausen were added.

“The fact that sport unites and brings together people from all nations is not only evident in the Olympics, but also in the European Football Championship. This sense of togetherness is very important to us in the deaf sporting world and gives our members self-confidence. That is why we organize the U21 Football European Championship of the Deaf Youth in Summer 2020 and look forward to many teams, new acquaintances, lots of fun, excitement and above all exciting matches! “
